Service Projects
Heartspring (formerly known as the Institute of Logopedics) was adopted as the Alpha Iota International Service Project in 1949. Located in Wichita, Kansas, it is a non-profit, worldwide center for children with special needs, including students with autism and multiple disabilities. Our mission, in partnership with parents and the community, is to help our children grow on a path to a more independent life. The Sorority has contributed over $300,000 towards the cost of training individual children at Heartspring and supporting residential homes on campus.

They also purchase a list of specific items that the teachers and staff have requested on behalf of their students. The members of Wichita Alumnae volunteer their services right on the Heartspring Campus.
At our International Conventions, chapters receive awards acknowledging their donations to Heartspring.
